And we are out of here! Doc released me this morning based on my superb health ... well, ok -- adequate health. My platelet count is on the rise, now up to 50000 (normal is over 200,000) and all my other numbers are good, plus or minus some minerals like magnesium and potassium for which I've been given some supplement pills to take home.
We will go over to the hotel for a day and then fly home tomorrow night, arriving sometime around 9:30. So it turns out, our anniversary present will be to come home ... in the scheme of things, this is about as good as it gets.
Unfortunately, now that I've stopped pain and anti-nausea meds, I don't feel all that great, but what the heck ... I just had chemo five days ago.
Dave Sweet just stopped by again to say hi and we had a nice visit ... used his camera to take these pics around noon today. Man, I gotta get one of those cameras.
Needless to say, Liz is 'jazzed' to be heading home to her babies. (As am I)
