THE WHISPERING WAVE
The Whispering Wave said to Dan,
"You have been a wonderful man.
Now it is time, don't you see?
For you to leave a legacy."
He didn't quite know what to think
Except the Wave was a link.
So he settled in
To listen once again.
What a model you've been to all you knew:
Liz, Cameron, Kyle, family and friends, too.
So take a look at what you did
Starting when you were a kid.
You met the lovely Liz in 3rd grade
And as a couple, you were tailor made.
Through the years you held her heart,
Just as you did from the start.
Your college days were full of fun
Nicknamed "Sisko" . . . the only one.
Your sporting nature was always keen
And kept you handsome, lean and mean.
Those sons of yours were a source of pride,
And were never far from your side.
You made them happy and very glad
That Dan Siskowic was their dad.
And after the Wave let him see
What a great legacy there would be,
He felt true wellness was within his reach
Because he was headed toward the ultimate beach.
And there he could keep a steady view
On all the folks he loved and knew.
And he's watching now, over you and me,
And is enjoying complete serenity.
